Welcome to our urban blog !

This site is based on our personnal experience of the city of Shanghai, China. We are two french architects and we have been studying this incredible urban laboratory for 6 months in 2009. We have been travelling there quite often since. We've organised a couple of exhibition in Paris and our book is available on line here : http://fr.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2096724.

Our approach is based on two issues : "Will Shanghai become XXIst's world capital ?" and "What is the city's future when the countryside disappears ?".

We have been focusing our study on the urban footprint of the metropolis regarding it's agricultural surroundings and the iconic side of this oriental Manhattan.
